As a new member of the Dental Network there is no charge to enter current patient data.
We will be happy to enter your current patient data including name, address, phone number, recall date, birth date, family members, whether or not they have insurance and account balance. Likewise your appointment book, fee schedules and insurance company log will be set up for you by our staff. Your office will be fully operational before our staff leaves. There is no charge for this service.

As a member of the Talcomp Network you will be connected to an IBM central processing unit. This equipment is among the most reliable in the industry. The Unix operating system is extremely fast and virtually error free.

We want to make sure your staff understands their new computer system. There is no limit placed on the amount of training your office may receive, and as new software is brought on line we make sure your office understands how to use it.

There are no limits placed on Talcomp support and there is no charge for support services. Because all Network members are on-line with our central processing unit at all times, support is easy. Questions are entered at the member's terminal and are immediately transmitted to the Network Operation Center, and the Talcomp support desk. Frequently we respond in less than a minute. There are no 800 numbers, no long-distance charges, and no waiting for someone to call you back from out of state.

No member of the Talcomp Dental Network is asked to sign a contract.
Our service is attractively priced and very comprehensive. You will not be asked to sign a contract or agree to remain a member of the Network for any specific period of time. We will keep you as a happy client by providing you with the computer services you need, not by a contract.

Network members make no investment in equipment.
Talcomp will install its terminals and printers in your office. The equipment in your office is then tied to our IBM central processing unit. We load your patient data from our office; then we come to your office and train your staff. There is no charge for this service. We make a considerable up front investment in your office, and remain very interested in the success of your practice.

As a Network member you will receive new hardware as the computer industry evolves.
Network members are kept up to date. As new hardware becomes available, equipment in their practices is upgraded so that they may take advantage of newer technology. Practices that elected to purchase their own systems have the same hardware today as the day it was purchased.

Talcomp wants to make sure that your equipment is in perfect operating condition. We have an inventory of spare parts and equipment. There is no charge to repair or replace the equipment in your office, and your staff will never be asked to wait.

Whenever you need to move your computer equipment, whether you are redecorating or moving your office, Talcomp will be responsible for disconnecting, relocating and reinstalling all computer equipment.

Because the Talcomp Network uses nationally recognized dental software in development for more than 20 years, our members find that new employees are frequently already acquainted with the system. Ongoing software development keeps our Network members current.
The only way Talcomp can continue to grow is by developing new software and improving our existing software. As new programs become available and as old programs are improved, new versions are installed on the Network at no additional expense to members. Practices that have invested in their own systems are generally stuck with their original purchase.

Electronic submission of patient claims is effortless and inexpensive.
For our dental Network members nothing could be simpler. Your claims will go out automatically as patient charges are entered. Talcomp takes care of everything.

Talcomp will also submit paper claims.
Network members have the option of either printing their own paper claims or having Talcomp print and mail all claims on a daily basis. We can take care of 100% of your insurance submissions. Your office will receive daily reports and tracking lists so that you always know the exact status of each claim.

Pre-authorizations are submitted both electronically and on paper.
A fast response to all your pre-estimates is just one of the benefits of electronic filing. If the pre-estimate is for an insurance company that does not accept electronic filing, Talcomp will be happy to print the form for your staff and submit it immediately by expedited mail.

Many network members find our area fee survey very helpful.
If you choose to participate in a fee survey, you may request a copy of the fee schedules of practices similar to yours and located in your area. You must, of course, allow your fee schedule to be used in similar surveys. No practice names or other identification is ever released. Participation is voluntary and free of charge.

At the end of each month Talcomp will make sure that your CPA receives the data he needs.
At your request we will be happy to talk with your CPA, find out what information he needs about your practice and then send him those reports automatically each month. Generally Talcomp is able to supply most CPA's with all their required data except your cancelled checks.

Your data is always safe and secure on the Talcomp Dental Network.
Talcomp backs up your data daily just prior to midnight. All backup tapes are kept off premises and quarterly backups are kept in a bank vault. These quarterly backups are useful in retrieving data that your office has already deleted from your database. Many practices that have purchased their own systems spend hours with infrequent backups. Not only is this costly but irreplaceable data is sometimes lost by inexperienced operators.

Effortless recall processing will save you time and money.
Your recall cards, past due recall and appointment reminder cards will be printed and mailed on a timely basis. Your office will receive an updated recall list twice a month, and we will be happy to assist you with past due reports, collection letters and postcards at any time.

Your entire database will be continually monitored for problems.
Our staff will monitor your database on a regular basis. This allows us to solve problems before you notice them. These procedures are ongoing and analyze each entry made by members of your staff.

Your statements are mailed automatically at the end of each month.
There is no need to use your valuable staff time to print, stuff and mail statements. Talcomp will mail each statement and bill your office for postage, envelopes and related labor. This allows your office personnel to work in more productive areas. Pre-Sorted First Class postage is affixed to each statement along with your return address. A return envelope for patient remittance is included with each statement, and the statement itself is perforated. The top portion is designed to be returned to your office with the payment.

Members are welcome to use our Bulk Mail and Presorted First Class Mail permits along with folding machines, envelope stuffing machines, 600 lines per minute printers, laser printers, postage meters and commercial copiers.

To assist each Network practice with their collection efforts we prepare a detailed monthly collection workbook for all accounts over 60 days past due. In addition to the workbook, Network members receive a mid-month update of the same accounts.

So that your staff members can always be in touch with patients Talcomp prepares a periodic telephone directory of your patients. Directories are supplied at no charge.

Insurance benefit tracking allows members to track treatment and remaining benefits.
One of the most popular programs allows practices to track incomplete treatment. When this report is coordinated with benefit tracking the result is a list of patients that need treatment and still have insurance benefits.

Whether you are at the National Convention or vacationing with your family, Talcomp will be happy to make sure you receive daily reports from your office. Depending upon your travels these reports will be faxed to you daily or sent to you overnight each evening at no charge. We also invite you to keep in touch with your office through our toll free 800 number. Call Talcomp from anywhere in the United States and you will be connected immediately to your office or, at your request, be given a brief summary of work posted at your office.

Standard reports that you receive on a regular basis are printed automatically for you on your office printer each evening after you leave the office. Reports such as schedules for the next day, encounter forms, day-sheets, deposit slips, insurance tracking reports and a wide variety of other reports will be done while you are asleep. You will find them all waiting for you the next morning.
